The venue
The building at C Torrent de l'Olla 9, now Acadèmia Blancafort, was home to Editorial Seguí, a key player that solidified Barcelona as the capital of Spanish-language books. Designed in 1912 by architect Andreu Audet i Puig, its facade boasts a metallic structure with clear Art Deco references. Note the sunflower reliefs on its cornices and lintels, alongside a distinctive dented semicircular crowning. Awarded by Barcelona City Council, this space preserves the memory of its printing past, now adapting to the cultural beat of Vila de Gràcia.
