The venue
On Avenida del Portal de l'Àngel stands the Àntic Edifici de Catalana de Gas i Electricitat, a work by Josep Domènech i Estapà, built between 1893 and 1895. This Local Cultural Asset is an example of eclectic architecture, blending Catalan Modernism, Viennese Secession, and Neoclassicism, and notable for its monumental facade. It served as the gas company's headquarters until 2008. Although its interior was adapted for commercial use, it retains the original staircase and details of the former presidential office, testaments to its industrial past in the Barri Gòtic.
