The venue
Can Batlló Old Factory, an industrial hub founded in 1878 in the heart of La Bordeta, Sants-Montjuïc, stands as a testament to Barcelona's powerful textile activity. Designed by Juan Antonio Molinero, its industrial eclectic halls were a stronghold in cotton production. After decades of disuse and significant community demands, since 2011 it has re-emerged as a vibrant self-managed space, a European benchmark. It hosts a diversity of cultural and social initiatives, from workshops to collaborative projects, preserving its architectural essence. Bloc Onze is an epicenter of this citizen dynamic, and Nave 7 houses the Escola de Mitjans Audiovisuals (EMAV), an example of conversion respectful of the site's industrial heritage.
