The venue
Located in Poblenou's industrial heart, Ca l'Alier, an old textile factory from 1852, showcases Barcelona's urban evolution. After decades of decline and successive fires, the building was rehabilitated between 2014 and 2018, transforming into the Urban Innovation Center. The intervention preserved its brick structure and three original naves, merging its industrial legacy with cutting-edge technology. Today, it hosts the BIT Habitat Foundation and Cisco's co-innovation center, serving as a benchmark for 'smart' solutions and sustainability within the 22@ district.
