The venue
In Plaça Orfila, Sant Andreu, the Capella dels Segadors, a Nationally Registered Cultural Asset, marks the epicenter of a historic uprising. On May 22, 1640, peasants from across the region gathered here, raising the parochial Sant Crist as their banner, igniting the revolt that triggered the Guerra dels Segadors. Today, its walls still echo the prelude to the Corpus de Sangre. Currently in ruins and inaccessible, plans are underway for its rehabilitation, transforming it into an interpretation center to preserve a foundational chapter of Catalan history.
