- les Roquetes, Barcelona
The venue
The streets of Les Roquetes, in Nou Barris, carve an urban geography defined by its terrain. Built into the slopes of Turó de les Roquetes, these winding paths, stairs, and passages reveal a history of self-construction and resilience. From the 1950s, a wave of new residents shaped a community where collective effort forged essential services and a deep-rooted identity. Its streets offer unexpected city views, a living testament to grassroots organization and constant adaptation to mountainous land.
