The venue
At Av. República Argentina 82, in Vallcarca i els Penitents (Gràcia district), Casa Cortina stands as a landmark of local modernism. Designed in 1907 by architect Aureo Bis, its facade features a ground floor with lowered arches forming a porch. Cantilevered balconies, protected by wrought iron railings, vary in size, topped by a gallery of classic windows. Classical columns, a gothic-motif cornice, and stucco mimicking hammered stone masonry solidify its status as a Bé Cultural d'Interès Local.
