Casa Fargas
Sober Modernisme, political legacy, Eixample's heart.

The venue
Erected in 1904 by Enric Sagnier, Casa Fargas on Rambla Catalunya is a beacon of French-influenced Modernisme in the Dreta de l'Eixample. Its facade, with undulating lines and carved stone tribunes, showcases elegant austerity, free from ornamental excess. The vestibule reveals trilobate arches and a marble staircase with a wrought-iron railing, integrating floral motifs. Beyond its architectural value, the building bears a commemorative plaque for economist and politician Ramon Trias i Fargas, who was born, lived, and died here, adding a layer of political and cultural history.
