Eclectic Modernism. Bourgeois Eixample's tale.

The venue

Perched in the Dreta de l'Eixample, Casa Garriga Nogués anchors Barcelona's iconic Quadrat d'Or, a true architectural landmark. Enric Sagnier i Villavecchia's work (1902-1904) masterfully blends Modernista flair with classical and baroque notes. Its facade features Eusebi Arnau's sculptures, depicting life's stages. Inside, a grand marble staircase and Antoni Rigalt's vibrant stained glass take center stage. A Cultural Asset of National Interest, it's transitioned from a bourgeois home to a vibrant cultural epicenter, now hosting the Museu de l'Art Prohibit.
