The venue
Casa Marsans, designed in 1906 by Juli Marial i Tey for Josepa Marsans i Peix, stands out for its stylistic blend. Beyond its classicist facade, the building reveals an interior fusing Modernista ornamentation with a Neo-Arab atmosphere, centered around an arcaded courtyard with distinctive elements. Located in Vallcarca, this former residence of the travel agency pioneer has served many roles: a Civil War hospital, barracks, orphanage, and social center. Today, it operates as the Alberg Mare de Déu de Montserrat, part of the Xanascat network. Designated European Cultural Heritage, it remains a landmark narrating Barcelona's urban and social metamorphoses.
