The venue
Erected in 1901 on Avinguda del Tibidabo, Casa Muntadas is a seminal work by Josep Puig i Cadafalch. This monument, cataloged as a local heritage asset, exemplifies a unique interpretation of Catalan Modernisme, merging bourgeois sophistication with the essence of an 18th-century traditional Catalan farmhouse (masia). Its distinctive "white style" facade features stucco and floral sgraffito, echoing rural ornamentation. Commissioned by Lluís Muntadas, a key figure in Barcelona's electrification and the Tibidabo's development, the residence aligns with the avenue's original vision. Its gardens, designed by Nicolau Rubió i Tudurí, complete the composition, anchoring this architectural gem within the urban and natural landscape of the Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district.
