The venue
Casa Pomar, at C/ Girona 86, is a Modernista landmark in Dreta de l'Eixample. Designed by Joan Rubió i Bellver, Gaudí's disciple, it was completed in 1906. Despite its narrowness, the facade stands out with an original stepped grandstand on the first floor. This element features a green ceramic and wrought-iron base, its ornamentation hinting at a ship's keel. The upper balconies echo the iron details. The building's neo-Gothic inspired pinnacle gives it a unique, almost ecclesiastical silhouette, setting it apart in the urban landscape. Cataloged as a Local Cultural Asset, its design is an architectural statement.
