The venue
At the intersection of Diagonal, Rosselló, and Bruc, Casa Terradas—popularly known as Casa de les Punxes—stands as a landmark of Catalan Modernisme. Designed by Josep Puig i Cadafalch between 1903 and 1905 for the Terradas sisters, this building unifies three properties into a silhouette reminiscent of a Central European medieval castle. Its six conical towers, exposed brickwork, and Manuel Ballarín's elaborate wrought-iron details define its facade. Features like ceramic panels depicting Catalan patriotic motifs, including Sant Jordi, underscore its cultural and historical significance, declared a monument in 1975. An architectural testament anchoring l'Eixample's identity.
