The venue
Located in Plaça Àngel Pestaña, the heart of Prosperitat's social life, the Casal de Barri emerged from a long neighborhood struggle that began in the seventies. It opened in 1988, solidifying its role as a self-managed socio-cultural hub, fostering local community initiatives and driving cultural events in this working-class district. Its programming, from DIY workshops and art exhibits to concerts and literary meetups, embodies a community spirit that keeps the neighborhood's defiant essence alive. A testament to Nou Barris' civic resilience.
