The venue
Established in 1847 following the neighborhood's municipal independence, Les Corts Cemetery underwent a significant Modernist transformation in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, thanks to projects by Pere Falqués. Its perimeter walls, administrative building, and chapel are listed as local heritage assets. The grounds showcase unique funerary art across its pantheons and tombs, featuring works like Jaume Barba's "The Kiss of Death" and a bronze Pietà by Josep Viladomat. The Pantheon of Overseas Repatriates (1904) and the Hebrew enclosure, active since 1932, complete this space of memory and architecture in Les Corts.
