The venue
In the Horta-Guinardó district, Casa Convalescència stands as one of the last great works of Catalan Modernisme, conceived by Lluís Domènech i Montaner and completed by his son Pere Domènech i Roura. Integrated into the Sant Pau Modernista Ensemble, declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1997, the building, inaugurated in 1930, initially served as a center for convalescent patients, featuring glass sunrooms and rich ceramic mosaics. Today, it hosts the UAB Foundation, blending its medical past with an academic and cultural present in Barcelona.
