The venue
Edifici La Maternitat, nestled in the heart of Les Corts, traces Barcelona's architectural and social journey. Born as the Provincial Home for Maternity and Foundlings in the late 19th century, it was built to assist disadvantaged mothers and children. Initiated by Camil Oliveres and continued by other architects, it boasts Modernista pavilions of exposed brick and polychrome ceramic, including the iconic Pink Pavilion. Today, its structures host diverse institutions, preserving part of its original mission. Its public gardens blend landscape design with architectural function, offering an urban sanctuary steeped in history. A true testament to Modernism serving the community.
