The venue
In Poble-sec, a visible stretch of El Canal de la Infanta at C Mare de Déu de Port 56 evokes 19th-century civil engineering. Built between 1817 and 1820 by Tomàs Soler i Ferrer, this seventeen-kilometer canal brought water from the Llobregat for irrigation in Baix Llobregat and Sants. Its initial agricultural purpose drove economic transformation and regional development. Today, between the urban layout and the wall of Montjuïc cemetery, its remnants in Sants-Montjuïc tell the story of a landscape shaped by water ingenuity and urban history.
