The venue
At C Isaac Newton 28, Sarrià-Sant Gervasi, a piece of naval history surfaces: the SA-51. Nicknamed 'Tiburón' (Shark), this assault submarine, built by Bazán in Cartagena, was donated in 1986 to today's CosmoCaixa. Engineered for rapid submersion, the SA-51 never saw combat, decommissioned in 1979 after active service with the Spanish Navy. Since its 1990 relocation by the Ronda de Dalt, its deep-sea steel structure stands as inert military engineering, redefined as a cultural landmark in Barcelona's urban fabric.
