The venue
On Passeig de Sant Joan, in the heart of Camp d'en Grassot i Gràcia Nova, stands the Josep Anselm Clavé Monument, listed as a local cultural asset. This sculpture pays tribute to Josep Anselm Clavé (1824-1874), a pivotal figure in Catalan culture, a composer, and the founder of the region's choral movement. The neoclassical work was conceived by architect Josep Vilaseca and brought to life by sculptor Manuel Fuxà, unveiled in 1888. Clavé's almost five-meter bronze figure rises from a stone pedestal, baton in hand, embodying his conducting work. Initially located on Rambla de Catalunya, the piece was relocated to its current spot in 1956, becoming a landmark celebrating Clavé's civic and artistic contributions to Barcelona.
