The venue
The Church of Our Lady of Pompeii, built by Enric Sagnier between 1907 and 1910 on Diagonal de Gràcia, is a landmark of freely interpreted Neo-Gothic style. Its three naves rise on slender columns with vegetal capitals, featuring polychromed and gilded wooden ceilings over ogival arches—an echo of Catalan Gothic tradition. The stone facade stands out with Josep Llimona's sculpture, including a lintel relief and a figure of Saint Francis of Assisi. This monastic complex, housing a Capuchin convent, was devastated in 1936 and later restored, preserving an organ by Pau Xuclà, surviving as a cultural and architectural icon.
