The venue
The Església del Reial Santuari de Sant Josep de la Muntanya, in Gràcia's La Salut neighborhood, is an architectural landmark. Designed by Francesc Berenguer i Mestres, a Gaudí collaborator, it blends Neo-Romanesque with Catalan Modernisme. Inaugurated in 1902 and championed by Blessed Petra of Saint Joseph, this sanctuary became an international pilgrimage site—one of the few dedicated entirely to Saint Joseph. It also serves as an active shelter for minors. Built with stone from its own quarry, its large leaded stained-glass windows further define its unique character.
