The venue
In Poble-sec, the Espai Bombers Parc de la Prevenció occupies the original fire station, a landmark building from the 1929 International Exhibition. Designed by Emilio Gutiérrez, it was Spain's first purpose-built fire station and the only historic one remaining in the city. Rehabilitated in 2016, it now serves as a center detailing the history of Barcelona's Fire Department, focusing on prevention and self-protection. Inside, discover over a thousand artifacts, including iconic vehicles, plus the original 1929 fire poles.
