The venue
The Bogatell Breakwater, located in Vila Olímpica del Poblenou, Sant Martí district, forms an artificial boundary between Nova Icària Beach and Mar Bella Beach. This concrete intervention solidified Barcelona's maritime opening in 1992, reclaiming a stretch of coastline previously shaped by the mouth of an ancient stream.
