The venue
Estació de França, opened in 1929 for the Barcelona International Exposition, stands as an architectural landmark on Ciutat Vella's coast. Designed by engineer Andreu Muntaner and architect Pedro Muguruza, its curved metal structure spanning twelve tracks is a prime example of modernist iron architecture, often likened to the Gare d'Orsay. The Noucentista lobby, by Duran Reynals, showcases marble, bronze, and three domes, echoing the grandeur of a bygone railway era. It welcomed figures like Albert Einstein in 1923 and today hosts cultural events, maintaining its urban beat.
