The venue
Located on C Girona, 74, the Forn de la Concepció is an iconic former bakery in the Dreta de l'Eixample. Designed by Josep Sunyer around 1900, this local cultural heritage site showcases Modernisme deeply rooted in urban life. Its facade retains the original wooden mouldings, floral motifs, and glass panes painted with Castilian landscapes. Inside, the tiles and original wooden counter attest to a legacy where Modernista aesthetics transcended the bourgeoisie, permeating the daily life of the neighbourhood. Today, no longer a working bakery, it remains an authentic fragment of Modernista Barcelona.
