The venue
Established in 1971 through the legacy of Dr. Agustí Pedro i Pons, the Agustí Pedro i Pons University Foundation occupies a 16th-century farmhouse at Avinguda de Vallvidrera 25, Sarrià-Sant Gervasi. Originally known as Can Mestres, this listed building stands at the foot of Collserola, surrounded by gardens offering an urban escape. Its primary function is to grant aid for postgraduate studies and research in medicine, sciences, humanities, and music to Universitat de Barcelona graduates. The estate, renovated by the Universitat de Barcelona, is a hub for academic and institutional activities, also housing a collection of the founder's art and furniture.
