The venue
Nestled in Poblenou's industrial heart, Hangar stands as a cultural pivot, repurposing the old Can Ricart textile printing factory. This complex, rooted in the 19th century and declared a National Cultural Asset, retains its sober original architecture, a testament to a productive past. Since 1997, it's functioned as a visual arts production and research centre, offering artists a space to develop projects, research, and generate knowledge. More than just an exhibition space, it incubates and technically/conceptually supports contemporary creation in Barcelona.
