The venue
Hiroshima, located on Carrer de Vila i Vilà in Poble-sec, was a beacon of Barcelona's cultural scene between 2015 and 2021. Housed in a former 1910 elevator factory, the venue maintained an industrial aesthetic, hosting new trends in contemporary dance, performing arts, and live music. Its eclectic and daring program offered a platform for emerging national and international artists. The name 'Hiroshima' hinted at the duality of destruction and reconstruction, symbolizing resilience and contemporary thought. After its closure, the space evolved to continue its cultural mission as Casa Montjuïc.
