The venue
Located at Avinguda del Paral·lel 100, Jardinets El Talia reconfigures a cultural history hotspot in Sant Antoni. This public space in Eixample occupies the former site of Teatre Talia, inaugurated in 1900 and a vibrant hub for Barcelona's performing arts scene until its closure in 1987. After decades of neglect, the city council acquired the land, transforming it into a provisional area with playgrounds and planters in 2023. Recently, Elisa Capdevila's mural 'Final de funció' evokes its theatrical legacy. It's a local meeting point, awaiting future housing and cultural facilities.
