The venue
Perched on Montjuïc's slopes, the Jardins de Miramar were envisioned between 1919 and 1923 for the 1929 Universal Exposition. Designed by Jean-Claude Nicolas Forestier and Nicolau Maria Rubió i Tudurí, they embody Noucentisme's spirit, introducing the Mediterranean garden concept to the city. Their terraces, supported by Montjuïc stone walls and wrought-iron railings, rise 60 meters above sea level, offering an expansive view of the port and urban horizon. Amidst lush greenery and water features, sculptures by Josep Clarà and Pau Gargallo are integrated, defining its axes and intrinsic cultural worth. An enclave linking 20th-century landscape vision with Barcelona's present-day pulse.
