The venue
In La Marina de Port, the Jardins dels Drets Humans spark a unique dialogue between industrial heritage and global flora. Conceived in 1960 as a recreation space for former Philips factory workers, its original design by landscape architect Van der Harst curated a collection of plant species, some unique to Barcelona, sourced from various continents. Rehabilitated in 2007, the park now features a lake, a skating rink, and 31 perimeter panels showcasing the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, alongside a poem. A Sants-Montjuïc gem, merging working-class memory with a commitment to universal principles.
