The venue
Nestled on Montjuïc, the Jardins de Joan Brossa reshape a space with a rich urban past. Opened in 2003, these 5.2-hectare gardens occupy a former military outpost and, later, the famed Montjuïc Amusement Park (1966-1998). Patrizia Falcone's design blends forest aesthetics with public garden function, named for avant-garde poet Joan Brossa. The spot retains playful remnants, including sculptures from the old park, and boasts expansive panoramic views of the city and Collserola.
