The venue
In Trinitat Nova, Nou Barris district, stands the Casa de l'Aigua, a modernist industrial architecture complex by engineers Felip Steva i Planas and Joan Sitjes. Built between 1915 and 1919, its original role was vital for Barcelona's water supply and sanitation, purifying water from Montcada i Reixac after the 1914 typhoid epidemic. After decades of service, the complex was abandoned in 1989, then restored in 2015. Today, as an extension of the Barcelona History Museum (MUHBA), it hosts a cultural center exploring the city's water history and climate impact, revitalizing its heritage within the urban fabric.
