Plaça d'Orfila: Village Memory.

The venue

Plaça d'Orfila, Sant Andreu's historic heart, condenses the essence of the ancient Palomar village, independent until its annexation to Barcelona in 1897. Dominated by the Neoclassical Sant Andreu de Palomar Parish Church, built between 1850 and 1904 atop Gothic, Baroque, and Romanesque layers, the square has witnessed millennia of history. It was a site of 10th-century looting and a key meeting point for "els Segadors" during their 1640 revolt. Today, it retains its character as an urban forum and neighborhood hub, a living canvas of the district's historical memory.
