The venue
In Vila de Gràcia, John Lennon Square took shape in 1993 after old industrial buildings were demolished. Designed by Jaume Graells i Ferrández as part of Barcelona’s urban revitalization, this 1,500 m² square honors the musician, symbolizing a commitment to peace. Its reddish central pavement, flanked by grey areas and varied trees, creates a functional setting. The defining feature: a vinyl-shaped metallic plaque inscribed with 'Give peace a chance,' a permanent reminder of pacifist spirit in the heart of the district.
