The venue
Plaça de Ramon M. Roca i Sastre in Les Corts is a transformed urban space. Nestled between the University of Barcelona's Chemistry and Biology faculties and opposite Palau de Pedralbes, this spot housed the Francoist 'Monument to the Fallen' until 2005. Renamed in 2012, it honors Catalan jurist Ramon M. Roca i Sastre, a figure persecuted by the dictatorship. Today, it's a tree-lined garden with sweetgum and poplars, paved paths, and grassy areas – a vibrant meeting point for students and locals alike. A bronze bust by Xavier Corberó on a stone base commemorates the jurist.
