La Presó de Mataró, an 1863 building designed by Elies Rogent, marks Spain's first panopticon model, a unique 19th-century architectural feature. This monument, a witness to local history, now hosts the M|A|C Mataró Art Contemporani's exhibition and production program, a nerve center for contemporary creation.
