La Sagrera
Plaça Masadas: Serene neoclassicism, a neighborhood heartbeat.

The venue
In the heart of La Sagrera neighborhood, Plaça de Masadas emerges as a neoclassical arcaded enclave, built around 1876. Designed after Plaça del Mercadal and named in honor of Pacià Masadas i Teixidó, who donated the land, this square once housed a covered market. Though the market was dismantled in the nineties for restoration, Plaça de Masadas retains its original charm with old apartment buildings and a central fountain, offering a haven of tranquility. Despite La Sagrera's profound urban transformation, with the development of the new high-speed train station, the square keeps its local character, untouched by tourist flows, shaping up as an authentic meeting point for residents.
