The venue
A landmark of Modernism and hydraulic engineering, the Josep Amargós Water Tower stands on Carretera de Vallvidrera al Tibidabo. Built in 1905, and known as the Dos Rius Water Tower, it was crucial for supplying water to Tibidabo and its urbanizations. Its imposing 53-meter octagonal structure of exposed brick and natural stone was the first to redefine the mountain's skyline. Noteworthy for its dome-reservoir and housing one of Spain's first electric elevators. Awarded the Barcelona Artistic Buildings Prize in 1905, the tower masterfully blends pioneering aesthetics and functionality, shaping the era's urban landscape.
