The venue
Perched on Montjuïc's hillside, Mirador de l'Alcalde unfolds as a series of stepped terraces, inaugurated in 1969 and dedicated to then-mayor Josep Maria Porcioles. Conceived by Joan Josep Tharrats, it features a 420 m² mosaic crafted from recycled elements, a detail recognized in Barcelona's Artistic Heritage Catalogue. The space is further adorned with a fountain by Carles Buigas and sculptures by Josep Maria Subirachs and Josep Cañas. It offers an uninterrupted 180º view of Barcelona's urban skyline and its port.
