Mural de la Memòria de Baró de Viver
Baró de Viver: A mural chronicle of urban identity.
THE VENUE
Baró de Viver's Mural of Memory, spanning 524 m² of the sound barrier on Passeig de Santa Coloma, is a visual urban chronicle. Unveiled in 2011, this public art project was born from a participatory process initiated in 2004 by local residents, in collaboration with the Polis Research Center at the University of Barcelona. Through texts and images, it charts milestones like the neighborhood's founding in 1929, the 1943 flood, its annexation to Barcelona in 1945, and the metro's arrival in 1983, weaving a vital narrative of local identity in Sant Andreu.
