Forty-five residents. 16th and 17th centuries in stone.

The venue
The hamlet of Sant Iscle d'Empordà sits in Serra de Daró, Baix Empordà, Girona province, far from Barcelona's urban sprawl. This tiny village of forty-five residents rises from a promontory, preserving the layout of a medieval core with remnants of a castle — a slender tower, a stretch of wall restored in 1985 —, its 12th-century Romanesque church fortified in the 17th, and farmhouses dating from the 16th and 18th centuries.
