The venue
In the Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district, Parc del Castell de l'Oreneta unfurls as a green corridor between the city and Collserola. Built on ancient rural estates, it holds vestiges of a late 19th-century castle, erected by Ernest Tous i Repetti and partially destroyed during the Civil War. Today, its 17 hectares boast dense Mediterranean vegetation, with pines, holm oaks, and native shrubs. Exploring its paths reveals an ornamental fountain from 1863 and, on Sundays, the steam miniature train circuit, a piece of railway modeling. From its elevated points, it offers expansive views over Barcelona's sprawl, from Sant Adrià to El Prat de Llobregat.
