Parc Central de Nou Barris redefines public space in Barcelona's periphery. Conceived by Andreu Arriola and Carme Fiol, its design integrates cubist principles to articulate a 17.7-hectare landscape atop the former Institut Mental de la Santa Creu. Inaugurated in phases since 1999, the park blends historical elements like the Dos Rius aqueduct and century-old farmhouses with remarkable biodiversity. Reflecting lakes and lush vegetation compose an environment that dialogues with its past, offering a distinct urban experience. This green lung is a testament to territorial transformation, a district epicenter.
