Parc de la Font Florida
Emulator Garden: echoes of Montjuïc '29.
THE VENUE
Opened in 1995 in the Font de la Guatlla neighbourhood, Parc de la Font Florida is a green space that mirrors Montjuïc's topography. Designed by Carles Casamor, Ramon Marquès, and Carles Fuentes, it reinterprets Jean-Claude Nicolas Forestier's landscaping for the 1929 Barcelona International Exposition. The park unfolds in two distinct atmospheres: an urban square with clear lines, featuring benches, fountains, and pétanque courts; and a wilder slope winding uphill, notable for its poplars, lavender carpets, and the vibrant yellow bloom of tipuanas. This unique spot links the ancient natural spring that named the area to the urban evolution of Sants-Montjuïc.
