The venue
La Maquinista Park, in Bon Pastor, champions Barcelona's industrial legacy. Set on the former grounds of La Maquinista Terrestre y Marítima, this public space, opened in 2000, pays homage to its past. A semi-circular pond houses a monumental transmission wheel, a remnant of the factory's first steam engine. Streetlights mimicking factory chimneys and an iron structure, once a museum, reaffirm the site's character. Its recent naming underscores the working-class contribution to the city's history.
