The venue
Opened in May 2006, the Parc de Recerca Biomèdica de Barcelona (PRBB) redefines the Barceloneta beachfront. Designed by Manuel Brullet and Albert de Pineda, its notable elliptical plan and inclined volumes feature a red cedar facade, providing visual lightness. As one of Southern Europe's major scientific hubs, it gathers six biomedical research centers. Beyond its form, the building integrates sustainability and functionality, connecting science with the urban pulse and the Mediterranean.
