The venue
Parc Sanitari Pere Virgili, nestled in Barcelona's Vallcarca de Gràcia, redefines a legacy. Built in the 1930s as a Military Hospital, its sober, functional pavilion architecture showcases a solid construction inherent to its origins. After its 1999 reconversion, the 50,000 m² complex—almost half green spaces—became a benchmark in social healthcare, education, and research. Underground galleries and vertical spaces remain as vestiges of its military past, now transformed into a hub of public health and architectural modernity, recently enhanced by modular buildings.
