Parròquia de Maria Auxiliadora
Historicism, Salesian devotion. Heart of Les Tres Torres.
THE VENUE
The Parish of Maria Auxiliadora, in Les Tres Torres, is a significant example of Enric Sagnier Villavecchia's historicism. Conceived by Dorotea de Chopitea in 1884 as the core of the Salesian work, its construction began in 1889. It showcases a distinctive neo-Gothic language, evident in its facade with a tower, octagonal bell towers, pointed arches, and pinnacles. The Salesian Workshops, established on-site, contributed to the interior decoration in wood and iron. After being destroyed in 1936 and 1970 by war and fire, it was restored and today stands as a sanctuary and spiritual pillar in Sarrià-Sant Gervasi, reflecting a history of resilience and Salesian cultural legacy.
